"Le Capitole" was a French train that ran between Paris and Toulouse from 1962 to 1991. It was named after Toulouse's famous Capitole, a historic building in the city center.
The train was known for its luxurious, comfortable facilities, including a dining car. It was also one of France's fastest trains, with a top speed of 200 km/h. The train continued its career as a fast train until the early 1990s, before disappearing when the TGV Atlantique came into service, enabling a 5-hour journey via Bordeaux.
