TGV postaux are TGVs in the colors of the French Post Office, in yellow livery, which ran at night to transport some mail and parcels between Paris, Mâcon and Cavaillon. They were built at the same time as the TGV Sud-Est family, and entered service in 1984.
Originally comprising five half-sets, the fleet was increased by one by converting a passenger set from the TGV Sud-Est fleet.
Given the continuing decline in mail traffic and competition from road transport, La Poste decided to discontinue their operation in 2015.
The TGV postal trains made their last commercial runs on Saturday June 27, 2015.
